Sustainability observes the rules of economic feasibility and endeavours to use natural resources conscientiously as well as striving to ensure social justice.

Economic sustainability
Throughout the company’s over 100 years of history, Création Baumann has always been run by its proprietors. Consequently, far-sighted and sustainable thinking and acting have always been a matter of course for the corporation. Business policy is determined on the basis of long-term goals. Risk, profit, and financial management are targeted towards an economically sustainable development of the company.

Social sustainability
For Création Baumann, social sustainability means assuming the responsibility to protect the interests of the company’s most important stakeholders, its staff, and its local environment. Création Baumann invests in the professional and personal development of its employees, the decisive factor for the success of the company’s business activities.

Ecological sustainability
Création Baumann already began to construct a neutralization plant for its dyeing mill in 1973, thus assuming a pioneering role in the Swiss textile industry. Up until today, Création Baumann has always been able to meet the legally stipulated wastewater values thanks to this neutralization plant and without the necessity of applying any additional chemical procedures. The Langenthal production site was certified with the environmental management system according to ISO 14001 very early on─and we received our ISO 9001 certification in the spring of 2009. The fact that our products carry absolutely no health risks is certified by the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 with which the large majority of our products have been distinguished.
