Hospitality in new shades
The “Hospitality” Collection from Création Baumann

09.04.2008 HOSPITALITY COLLECTION
A well known proverb states “Clothes make the man”. It could also say that colours and textiles make the room as the ambiance can be enhanced, refreshed and varied through their use. It is only by the right selection of textiles that the desired personal note is bestowed to restaurants, lounges and hotels. The magic of textiles is equally potent in our home - anywhere where there is a desire to generate atmosphere through the use of textiles.
Création Baumann has long been a master at generating wellbeing through high quality textiles. The Swiss textile manufacturer from Langenthal now presents the “Hospitality“ collection – elegant fabrics for the contract sector that also beautify residential furnishing. The timeless collection builds on staple items from the existing range, such as the “Dimmer II” blackout fabrics. New additions consist of around a dozen delightful decor fabrics in Trevira CS – all featuring heavy flame retardant and easy care properties.
The beautifully harmonised collection opens up endless options for customising interiors -with a selection that ranges from sheer curtaining to decorative upholstery fabrics. Akin to a modular building block system, fabrics in harmonising colour themes can be selected and combined. The colour concept encompasses hues inspired by the north, which range from sand to icy blue; a warm spectrum with brilliant gold, light orange and strong fuchsia; a wood inspired colour palette featuring natural sand, white and brown shades and a scale of stone tones teamed with fresh green.
The Jacquard designs are understated, elegant and timeless –dots and stripes set the accents. Amongst the highlights are the two-tone jacquards “Ola” and “Ovado”. The two curtain fabrics in Trevira CS captivate through their natural look and feel. Whilst “Ola“, with its wavelike patterning and satin binding, emanates feminine charm, “Ovado“ with its bold graphic design introduces a masculine note to interiors. The items are available in fifteen and eleven colour settings respectively. Woven Trevira CS effect yarn generate a strong texture in the two upholstery fabrics “Don” and “Dina”, which is further enhanced in “Dina” by a dot design. “Don” is available in 20 colour settings whilst “Dina” is available in 10.
“Marla” is a particularly eye catching curtain and upholstery fabric. Overlapping discs produce fascinating depth effects in this two tone fabric. This striking item in five natural shades combines beautifully with the textured uni fabric “Marlon“. New to the range is “Velos” in flame retardant Trevira CS. The velour’s revolutionary short pile generates an exquisitely matt look. The upholstery fabric, which is available in 30 colours, is complemented by “Velos Punto”, an embossed dot design in 12 colour settings that generates an interplay of shiny and matt surfaces.
Four taffeta items enhance the collection. The bestselling “Sendal“ in a width of 3m, has been colour overhauled and now features some intensive colours alongside the subdued earthy tones. Whilst a rib texture generates three dimensional effects in “Sendal Do“, the broad block stripes and alternating weave texture lend a bold look to “Sendal Undo“. “Sendal Multi“ blends two different weaves and five colours in a narrow stripe design – the look is fresh and scintillating. The multicoloured fabric is available in eight colour settings which range from natural hues to ice blue. The “Astor“ fabric has high tech appeal. The item unites two different coloured Trevira CS layers in an inter-space weave. The honeycomb grid gives the fabric additional depth. With 17 colours that include contemporary lime and fuchsia, the design combines beautifully with all other designs.
The bedspread “Calma” is exquisitely harmonised. The double sided fabric in a width of 2.80 m is available in 10 colours. Fine pinstripes and three-dimensional rib optics ensure elegance in sleeping quarters.
With the “Hospitality“ collection, Création Baumann brings both emotion and functionality to a room. The enterprise again demonstrates its exceptional competence as a partner for the hotel industry with its broad range of fabrics and diverse colour themes. The collection also appeals to private individuals who are inspired by the rich diversity of fabrics. It is available at trade outlets from January 2008.
