Création Baumann presents the blackout fabric “Magic“

There are times when we like to exclude light – such in hotel rooms when we would relish a short nap during the day. For a long time the only textiles which could cut out the light were heavy, stiff and aesthetically unappealing. For some years Création Baumann, the textile enterprise from Langenthal has been setting new standards with its blackout fabrics. In addition to the uncoated “Dimmer” fabrics, which cut out brightness in a room, there is now a whole series of new fabrics which filter out even more light.
The fabric “Magic“ offers a high degree of blackout. Its 330 cm width greatly facilitates applications on large expanses of glass. The softly draping “Magic” fabric is woven using the double weft binding with a black warp and can therefore be used on either sides. With this new product Création Baumann once again displays its textile technical expertise.
The blackout fabric is available in three qualities. “Magic UN“ is a double sided uni which is available in six colours. Different colours on the facing side and the reverse result in a total of twelve colours, allowing for interesting effects at the window. “Magic Stripe“ is a simple, finely striped fabric with a uni coloured back. “Magic Block“ features broad block stripes in three colours, once again the back is uni coloured. “Magic Stripe“ and “Magic Block“ each are available in six colour settings. The colours are subdivided into three groups according to the degree they cut out the light: soft, regular, dark. All fabrics are colour harmonised with each other and can be combined in ever new combinations.
Around 95 percent of incoming light is effectively absorbed with the attractive “Magic“ series. The blackout fabrics are equally well suited for residential as well as for contract sector furnishing. The collection is available in specialist outlets from the autumn.
