Designtextiles strive to increase awareness on the often underrated space-shaping and functional advantages of textiles in architecture

Besides putting limelight on the wonderful diversity of designs, Designtextiles also wants to increase awareness on the often underrated space-shaping and functional advantages of textiles in architecture, while involving all participants: manufacturers, designers, experts, dealers, converters, planners and users.

Designtextiles is a project of Architonic AG, Zurich. The "Initial Partners" are seven selected premium brands from Germany and Switzerland that form the foundation for the project: Chivasso, Christian Fischbacher, Création Baumann, Jab Anstoetz, Nya Nordiska, Sahco und Zimmer + Rohde.

After an introductory period, the portal will also be open to international premium brands in the textile sector. The aim is to convince interior designers, architects, retailers and especially private customers of the diverse potential of textiles in architecture and to build a profound source of knowledge and inspiration.
