As a symbol of the room, an organic cypress counter was designed, inspired by calligraphy brush strokes. This special sushi bar fuses chef and guest engagement and the process of preparing and eating.
An object reminiscent of a cloud is suspended above the counter, designed from a textile whose texture is very similar to that of the traditional Japanese paper. The Washi-inspired fabric folds were designed from the laser-cut SPIDER roller blind fabric.
The “cloud’s” light constantly changes as if it was a real cloud in the sky, drifting across the sky over west London.
