Ausgangslage
This new Secrisa office building is located in an up-and-coming area on the outskirts of Pamplona, surrounded by a verdant landscape, with a view of the mountains. The structure of the building is based upon a mineral rock mass.
From the outside, it presents a refl ective surface with glimpses into the interior, to differing depths. It resembles the structure of mineral, yet it offers considerable light and external views to the people inside.
Solution
Steel Base was set into the intermediate layers of the laminated glass used for the external façade, in order both to realise the design and control the incursion of light into the building. The texture of the fabric supports the mineral-like appearance of the façade, while the sheer coating of steel on the reverse of the material offers optimum protection against excess light and glare within the offi ce spaces.
