Starting point

The facades of the office building and high-rise building for Allianz number amongst the world’s first closed cavity facades (CCF), a closed double-leaf facade. For the first time, this type of facade was printed with special two-colour dots on the outside glass panels. In the edges of the CCF elements, this created a marble pattern so from the outside, this glass high-rise building looks as if it is wearing a coat of marble.

To protect people in the building from light and heat despite the low-ferrite glass, an aluminium-metallised sun protection curtain was installed for the first time in the closed area between the double-leaf facade. Thanks to its waveform, the Shadow curtain, which is somewhat transparent even when closed, brings the view from inside out and from outside in.
