Opened in 1912, the main building of the Schweizerische Nationalbank at the Bundesplatz has been modified several times in the last 100 years. When the SNB’s rooms were fully renovated because of technical and operational optimisations, the meeting room was also redesigned.
The renovation aimed at enhancing the room’s architecture and composition by considering and appreciating that it is a listed building of special cultural value.
In the process, the tapestry was also given a new concept. One of the planners created a design which Création Baumann manufactured as a special version—a jacquard fabric made from silk and cotton in custom colours.
