The outlook is bright

Sereno - the sheer new curtain fabric with the natural silk look

Creation Baumann is adding to its range of sheer textiles. "Sereno", the name of the new elegant curtain fabric derives from the Italian for “bright” and “clear”. Its delicate, translucent weave is reminiscent of highly sheer silk so it could not be more aptly named.

The vision of the design team in Langenthal was the manufacture of a sheer curtain fabric that exhibited the unmistakable texture and feel of a Crêpe Georgette along with easy care and flame retardant properties for universal applications in both residential and contract sector furnishing. The complex development has now been successfully completed by the textile experts.

“Sereno”s crêpe like texture of natural silk is accentuated by the fine lines in the weave, which generates a delightful interplay with length and cross stripes in warp and weft, depending on the angle of incoming light. Despite its faint sandy feel, “Sereno” is a flowing and soft draping curtain fabric with a diaphanous beauty. The colour palette of the new sheer encompasses 35 colours. The palette of the delicate and earthy powder tones harmonise well with the elegant, soft weave. “Sereno” can be used on its own or in combination with colour harmonised black out fabrics such as Dimmer. It is offered in a width of 320 cm.

Création Baumann’s “Sereno”, a transparent curtain fabric for universal applications which captivates with a natural look will be available from spring 2013.
