Ever since its foundation in 1886, Création Baumann has not only been thinking of today, but also about tomorrow. As a traditional Swiss company, sustainable action has been a central element for four generations. Because sustainability is more important today than ever before, we have systematically addressed this issue in recent months. Our sustainability report shows transparently, which measures we take as a textile manufacturer to assume responsibility and thus contribute to a future worth living - for the environment, people and the economy.
In addition to there durability and recyclability, the climate compatibility of our products also plays a central role for us. We therefore invest specifically in solutions and measures that reduce emissions and greenhouse gases. As early as 2008, we made a voluntary commitment to the Swiss federal authorities to reduce CO2 emissions and are pleased that we have now exceeded the target by more than 20%.
Our products increase the well-being in private and public spaces: through their aesthetics, their function, but also through product safety and freedom from harmful substances. The health and safety of our textiles is regularly confirmed by independent testing institutes. Products certified according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 already make up a large part of our range.
As part of the exclusive Arts Club in London, members will now also find a health centre at the renowned Lanserhof. Here, not only a range of fitness and treatment facilities ensures a sense of well-being, but the interior with products from Création Baumann also contributes to this. The curtain fabrics certified according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 thus meeting Lanserhof's high ecological and health standards.
Innovation and sustainable economic success go hand in hand. We convince our customers with novel products and increase our competitiveness. The best example: the Acoustic Divider Vario with NoiseSilencer. This innovative system, which we are constantly developing, creates attractive quiet zones that are up to 16 decibels quieter - simply, effectively and with style.
With our current sustainability report, we not only want to openly communicate our goals and ambitions, we also see it as an obligation to make measurable progress. Through the transparency it creates, we commit ourselves to implementing concrete measures. Every two years, we will report on the results and newly defined measures.
