Initial situation
The «Musiktheater im Revier» is a major post-war theatre building, and has been protected as a listed historical building since 1997. The auditorium was completely renovated in 2010, not only so that its architecture could continue to impress visitors, but also to bring its acoustics to the same standard.
Solution
74 individually controllable, electronic roller acoustic blinds were fitted to modulate and optimise the sound ambience.
The made-to-order black blinds (Rollector II special colour to RAL) are fitted with elegant black mechanisms and are barely noticeable to the eye.
The plane of the blinds can be adjusted depending on the direction of the music, with the result that the sound is absorbed exactly as required.
